Moisio Manor

Moisio Manor is a neoclassical manor house from the early 19th century with symmetrical facades and tall windows arranged in balanced composition. The building displays characteristic features of this period in its proportional design and harmonious structure.

The building was designed by architect Carl Ludvig Engel and constructed in 1820 after the Forselles family acquired the property from the Wrede family. This construction replaced earlier structures on the estate.

The upper floor serves as an art exhibition space with changing displays throughout the year. This blend of contemporary art and historical rooms creates an interesting contrast for visitors.

The ground floor contains a restaurant and café where visitors can dine while exploring the property. These facilities make it easy to spend several hours on site and experience the location at a relaxed pace.

The property has a connection to Swedish royalty dating back to 1605 when Henrik Wrede saved King Carl IX in battle. This rescue led to a land reward that became the foundation for this estate's development.
