Finnish national writer Aleksis Kivi spent his final months in this cottage under his brother's care until his death in 1872.
The memorial cottage preserves the environment where Kivi created literary works that shaped Finnish language and literature.
From May to August, visitors can explore the cottage Tuesday through Sunday between 10:00 and 17:00, with reduced hours during September and October.
The cottage remains in its original location, maintaining the rural landscape that existed before the development of the Tuusula artist community.
