Abbaye de Juvigny, Benedictine abbey in Juvigny-sur-Loison, France

The abbey buildings include perimeter walls, a hospital structure, and a neoclassical entrance with composite pilasters and floral tympanum decoration.

Queen Richilde established the abbey in 870 on her property and received the relics of Saint Scholastica from the Bishop of Le Mans in 874.

The abbey maintained two functions through centuries: a religious center for female monasticism and a medical facility serving the local population.

The former mill section of the abbey contains four water wheels and now functions as accommodation for visitors to Juvigny-sur-Loison.

The abbey grounds covered nearly half of the current village area, with its hospital building now serving as part of the Fondation Perce-Neige.
