Château d'Effiat, Renaissance château in Effiat, France.

The stone structure features a central classical building with projecting pavilions, accessed through a monumental gateway decorated with the Marshal's coat of arms.

The château was constructed between 1626 and 1628 by Antoine Coiffier, Marshal of France and advisor to King Louis XIII, as part of a larger urban development.

The interior contains preserved decor from the 17th and 18th centuries, including painted woodwork from Italian Renaissance, period frescoes, and Romantic-era stained glass windows.

The château opens for guided tours every weekend from March to November, with adult admission at 11 euros and teenagers at 9 euros.

The gardens, designed by A. Mollet, include a 130-meter terrace with a grotto system and formal pathways that reflect French landscaping principles.
