Basilique Saint-Régis, Minor basilica in Lalouvesc, France.

Basilique Saint-Régis is a church building with two towers reaching about 37 meters high, constructed from gray granite with a central nave and side corridors. The structure follows Byzantine Revival style and combines traditional church architecture with elements of this artistic movement.

Construction began in 1865 under architect Pierre Bossan and it received minor basilica status from Pope Leo XIII in 1888. These two milestones shaped its development from a local church into a recognized pilgrimage site.

Inside, the walls feature paintings created by Georges Décôte that depict religious figures and symbolic imagery. These artworks shape how the interior looks and convey the artistic vision of the early 1900s.

The church operates at various times and is attended to from the nearby Maison Saint-Régis. It's best to check opening hours in advance and verify if services are scheduled during your visit.

It holds the relics of two saints: Saint Jean-Francois Regis and, since 2018, Saint Therese Couderc. These remains make it a special destination for pilgrims who come to venerate these honored figures.
