Château de Bonnemare

Château de Bonnemare is a Renaissance residence in Normandy featuring a prominent entrance tower and a chapel designed in Greek cross form. The main building and associated structures sit amid the rolling countryside on an established estate.

Nicolas Le Conte, President of the Normandy Parliament, initiated construction of this residence in 1570 on the site of an earlier medieval manor. The estate thus represents a transition from medieval structures to Renaissance architectural ideals in the region.

The working kitchen features a rotating roasting system inspired by Renaissance engineering principles. Visitors can observe this functional element that reflects how daily life operated within the residence during that era.
