Château de Bridoire

Château de Bridoire is a castle in Ribagnac with three levels filled with furnished rooms showing the inner workings of a historical fortress. The complex also includes underground areas such as a prison and stables, reflecting various functions of daily operations.

The fortress dates from the late 12th century, originating during an era of extensive castle construction. The Foucauld family later took ownership and shaped its development across generations.

The castle reveals how people lived in earlier centuries through its furnished rooms and lived-in spaces. The chambers show daily routines and domestic arrangements, making the past tangible through preserved details.

The site is walkable on foot, as all rooms are connected by stairs and paths in and out are clearly marked. Visitors should wear sturdy shoes, as floors in older sections can be uneven.
