Château de Bry

Château de Bry is a château in Bry-sur-Marne, distinguished by two elegantly designed rotundas on its sides that connect the middle sections with the wings. The overall structure displays carefully considered architectural details and symmetrical facades that reflect 18th-century classical design.

The building was constructed between 1750 and 1770 by architect François II Franque following classical principles. After suffering significant damage from warfare around 1870, it was later reconstructed and converted for new purposes.

The château's distinctive form with its twin rotundas shapes the local landscape and remains a reference point in the community. Visitors today can observe how the symmetrical design continues to define the character of the surrounding area.

The property is now privately owned and operates as a Catholic school, so visits are typically not open to the public. Interested visitors can view the building from outside and photograph its architecture from the street to capture the classical features.

The original residence came from a different location and was relocated to this site in 1622, where François Ours Miron constructed a new structure. This move marked the beginning of a new chapter for the property and the family.
