Château de Cas, Medieval castle in Espinas, France.
The Château de Cas features defensive architecture with a central keep, massive towers, and walls constructed from local limestone.
Built in the 9th century on a Gallo-Roman site, the castle belonged to the Commandery of La Capelle-Livron during the Templar period.
The fifteen rooms contain 13th-century period furniture and bedrooms decorated in various French royal styles spanning multiple centuries.
Guided tours of the castle take place at 3:30 PM by reservation, with admission at 7 euros for adults and free for children.
Since 1437, the castle has remained in the same family lineage, passing through generations without ever being put up for sale.
