Château de Cas

Château de Cas is a castle in Espinas built from local limestone with a central keep and massive towers defining its structure. The fortress displays defensive architecture typical of medieval fortifications, with thick walls and multiple protective elements throughout the compound.

The castle was built on a site where Gallo-Roman structures once stood and later became associated with a Templar commandery. This heritage connected it to one of the significant power networks of medieval Europe.
