Château de Montmort, Renaissance castle in Montmort-Lucy, France.

The castle rises above the Surmelin valley with four corner towers, white stone decorations, and slate roofs atop its brick construction.

The medieval fortress transformed into a residence during the 16th century, retaining elements such as moats, ramparts, and defensive structures.

The first floor houses painted canvases installed by theater decorator Eugène Cicéri in 1851, drawing inspiration from Sébastien Bourdon's works.

The castle includes two distinct sections: a lower part featuring Renaissance bay windows and an upper section marked with the construction date of 1577.

A spiral ramp inside the entrance tower allowed horses to access the upper terrace while surrounding a separate spiral staircase for people.
