The stone castle rises with four corner turrets and a 30-meter-high central keep connected by a gallery, offering exhibitions of regional art collections.
Built in the 12th century, the castle stands as one of the remaining urban fortresses in the Ile-de-France region, linked to the former duchy of Nemours.
The museum collection includes 20,000 artworks, featuring paintings, sculptures, and graphic arts from the 19th and 20th centuries, with works by local artists.
The museum opens Wednesday through Saturday from 10:00 to 12:30 and 14:00 to 18:00, Sunday afternoons from 14:00 to 18:00, with group visits available on Tuesdays.
The museum presents a temporary exhibition of 21 drawings and 2 paintings by Achille Varin, a Nemours artist active between 1914 and 1943.
