Château de Mazières

Located on the left bank of the Bouzanne River, the stone castle features a towering keep and a circular tower on its western facade.

Originally constructed in the 12th century as a defensive stronghold, the castle underwent significant renovations during the 14th and 15th centuries following the Hundred Years War.

The castle became a protected historical monument in 1988, with specific elements including the keep, circular tower, and original foundation receiving official designation.

The castle now functions as a venue for weddings, seminars, and gatherings, offering five guest rooms, two suites, and multiple reception halls for various events.

An original fireplace from the castle's 15th-century renovation now resides in the Châteauroux museum, preserving a piece of the structure's architectural heritage.
