Château de Poncé-sur-le-Loir

The central pavilion of the castle features two symmetrical wings and displays white tuffeau stone facades with Italian-style architectural elements.

The Chambray family initiated the construction of the current castle in 1542, incorporating elements from earlier fortifications dating back to the 11th century.

The interior staircase contains 160 carved coffers adorned with diverse patterns, representing one of France's finest examples of Renaissance decorative arts.

The castle opens to visitors from April through September, with extended hours during July and August, offering guided tours for groups upon reservation.

The Caroline Terrace, built in 1830, combines brick and stone in a neo-Gothic style and overlooks both French and Italian gardens of the estate.
