Château de la Touche, Historical castle in Nozay, France.
The castle stands within a 40-hectare park extending to the Nozay church, featuring monumental entrance gates with carriage and pedestrian access points.
Following a devastating fire in 1790 during the French Revolution, Count François de Monti de Rezé constructed the present castle in 1827 on the site.
The entrance gate displays decorative machicolations and tuffeau stone construction, reflecting traditional Loire Valley architectural elements.
The castle outbuildings open to visitors during July and September, including special access during Heritage Days with guided tours in French.
During World War II, the entrance gates sustained damage from American tanks, necessitating post-war reconstruction to accommodate larger vehicles.
