Château des Faugs

The Château des Faugs is a castle in Boffres featuring a rectangular main building with a high slate roof and decorated dormer windows. The structure demonstrates classical French architectural elements in its design and proportions.

Construction of the castle began in 1886 based on plans drawn by Vincent d'Indy, who became its first owner and lived there from 1890. The building emerged during the Belle-Époque period and reflected its founder's architectural vision.

The castle now houses a museum dedicated to Vincent d'Indy, the composer who lived here and shaped French musical traditions. Visitors can see personal objects and artistic materials connected to his life throughout the rooms.
