Collegiate church of Saint Martin of Montpezat-de-Quercy, Gothic church in Montpezat-de-Quercy, France.

The Collegiate Church of Saint Martin is a Gothic structure in the town center with a single nave divided into five sections and bordered by side chapels. The walls were built from local limestone blocks, and the church ends with a five-sided apse characteristic of Gothic design.

A Cardinal from the town initiated construction in the 1330s, making it an important religious center in the region. This Cardinal held a high position in the Roman Church and came from a local family of influence.

The choir displays woodcarvings from the 15th century and five Flemish tapestries from the early 1500s showing scenes from a saint's life. These artworks give the interior a rich, decorative quality that reflects the craftsmanship and artistic traditions of that era.

The church is easily accessible in the town center and located in a small, walkable community where you can reach it on foot. Local tourism offices can provide information and answer questions about visiting hours and special events.

The church contains marble tomb sculptures of two family members from different generations who both held important religious positions. These burial monuments are carved with detailed figures and rank among the most precious treasures housed within the building.
