Musée-Placard d'Erik Satie, Miniature music museum in Montmartre, Paris, France.
The museum occupied a 3x3 meter utility room at 6 Rue Cortot, displaying personal items and memorabilia of composer Erik Satie.
Founded in 1983 by music scholar Ornella Volta, the museum operated until 2008 in the space where Erik Satie resided from 1896 to 1898.
The collection included an authorized reproduction of Man Ray's sculpture The Gift and showcased the living conditions of French musical composition in the late 1800s.
The museum required advance reservations for visits and allowed only two guests at a time due to its restricted dimensions.
During his residence in this confined space, Satie composed Pièces froides in 1897 while sleeping on a camp bed that blocked the entrance door.
