Place de l'Odéon, Public square in 6th arrondissement, France

The Place de l'Odéon forms a semicircular plaza measuring 74 meters in length, featuring cobblestone pavement and traditional Parisian architecture.

Originally named Place du Théâtre-Français upon its 1779 construction, the square changed names to Place de la Comédie-Française before becoming Place de l'Odéon in 1807.

Revolutionary figures Camille Desmoulins, Lucile Desmoulins, and Fabre d'Églantine resided at number 2 until their arrest during the French Revolution.

Five streets connect to the square: Rue Regnard, Rue Crébillon, Rue de l'Odéon, Rue Casimir-Delavigne, and Rue Racine.

The square became a classified historical monument in 1948 and contains a memorial plaque that was stolen in 1986 but later recovered.
