Théâtre de la Renaissance, Historic theatre in 10th arrondissement, France
The Théâtre de la Renaissance stands at 20 Boulevard Saint-Martin, presenting a traditional Italian-style architecture with a capacity of 650 seats.
Architect Charles de Lalande designed this cultural establishment in 1873, following the path of two previous theaters that operated under the same name.
Sarah Bernhardt directed the theater from 1893 to 1899, introducing numerous French plays that influenced the performing arts scene in Paris.
The venue opens its bar before performances, serving wines, cheeses, and charcuterie, while the main entrance is located on the second floor.
The theater maintains its original nineteenth-century structural elements while presenting modern productions like adaptations of 1980s animated series Denver the Dinosaur.
