Les Mercuriales, Twin office towers in Bagnolet, France

Les Mercuriales consists of two identical towers, named Levant and Ponant, rising 122 meters high with 33 floors each in the eastern Paris metropolitan area.

The construction of these towers in 1975 represented an initiative to develop business districts in eastern Paris, though plans were affected by the first oil crisis.

The architectural design of these structures drew inspiration from the original World Trade Center towers in New York, incorporating similar modernist principles.

The buildings feature a central core containing elevators and freight lifts, with modular office spaces that allow flexible arrangements from closed to open layouts.

Radio transmitters installed on top of these towers broadcast signals that reach approximately 40,000 households in the surrounding metropolitan region.
