Saint-Salomon Church features International Gothic architecture with a 14th-century porch tower and a southern portal decorated with kersantite stone sculptures.
The bell tower dates from the 13th century, while the main parts of the building were constructed during the 15th and 16th centuries after a storm in 1450.
The stone chancel represents a rare example of Gothic choir enclosure in Brittany, with 16th-century stained glass windows showing Antwerp artistic influences.
The church stands in the center of La Martyre in Finistère, accessible via Saint-Salomon Street, and belongs to the Diocese of Quimper and Léon.
A fortified gallery above the triumphal arch allowed archers to monitor gatherings during medieval fairs.
