Château de Bertichères, Renaissance castle in Chaumont-en-Vexin, France.

Château de Bertichères is a Renaissance castle with an active farm complex in northern France. The estate includes a manor house along with stables, a barn, and a dovecote built from rough stone, all dating to the 16th century.

The estate was built as a residence in the 16th century and later became the home of a brother of King Louis XIV. In 1999 the site received official protection as a registered historical monument.

The castle and its working farm buildings show how the French landed gentry lived and organized their estates. Walking through the grounds, you can see how the household and agricultural operations were closely connected.

Visitors can walk freely around the grounds and enjoy the open spaces, riding trails, and sports facilities. It's best to check ahead about visiting hours and any group activities happening on the day you plan to go.

The grounds host the Royal Jump, an international show jumping competition that attracts riders from around the world each year. This event has made the castle a notable venue for equestrian sports in Europe.
