The Château de Gy features an octagonal tower in its central part and two side wings that form a symmetrical architectural composition.
Built between 1498 and 1502 by Archbishop François de Busleiden, the castle served as the residence of Besançon archbishops for over 700 years.
The castle interiors maintain their 18th-century appearance with wooden decorations, parquet floors, and a grand staircase representing French aristocratic design.
Visitors can explore the castle from April through September, with guided tours available at 5 euros for adults and 2.50 euros for students.
The castle cellars house a Wine Museum that documents the regional wine production methods and history through the centuries.
