Pavillon de l'Aurore, Baroque pavilion in Parc de Sceaux, France.
The circular pavilion features a grand dome decorated with an allegorical painting that represents the arrival of dawn through classical figures.
Jean-Baptiste Colbert commissioned the construction of this architectural element in 1671, during the reign of Louis XIV of France.
Charles Le Brun, the first painter to King Louis XIV, created the central dome's artwork between 1671 and 1672 using oil paintings on canvas.
The pavilion offers audio guides in French and English, with virtual reality headsets available for examining the detailed ceiling artwork.
The structure contains two side cabinets decorated by Nicolas Delobel with paintings of Vertumne, Pomone, Flore, and Zéphyr mythological figures.
