Petit Château de Sceaux, Classical French castle in Sceaux, France.

The Petit Château de Sceaux stands with stone facades, featuring symmetrical windows and a monumental portal opening to a cobblestone courtyard.

Nicolas Boindin, a notary at the Châtelet of Paris, initiated the construction in 1661, and Jean-Baptiste Colbert integrated it into his domain in 1682.

The château contains a collection of paintings, drawings, prints, precious furniture, and artworks representing French taste from Louis XIV to Napoleon III.

The museum opens from Tuesday to Saturday for groups with reservations, while individual visits occur on weekends from March through October.

The first floor exhibits include a rare Nicolas Poussin painting and fifty previously unseen artworks acquired by the department since 2019.
