Mata Kuan Rani Temple

Mata Kuan Rani Temple is a Buddhist shrine situated along the Beas River in Mandi, rising above a deep well beneath its foundations. The structure displays traditional slate roof design and sits directly next to the flowing river.

The temple emerged from the story of Princess Mandarava, who turned to Buddhist teachings under the guidance of Padmasambhava and later became known as an Awareness Dakini. This historical connection made the site an important place on Buddhist pilgrimage routes.
