Sivasagar Sivadol, Temple in Assam, India
Sivasagar Sivadol is a group of structures comprising three Hindu temples of Sivadol, Vishnudol and Devidol located on the banks of the Sivasagar tank.
The temples were built in 1734 by Bar Raja Ambika, queen of Ahom king Swargadeo Siba Singha.
The Sivadol stands for 'the temple of the Lord Shiva' and is a significant religious destination in India.
It's best to visit during the Shivaratri festival when the temple comes alive with festivities.
The Sivadol is believed to be the tallest Shiva temple in India.
