Rang Ghar, Amphitheater in Assam, India
Rang Ghar is a two-storeyed building which was the royal sports-pavilion from where Ahom kings and nobles witnessed games like buffalo fights and other sports at Rupahi Pathar.
Constructed by Swargadeo Pramatta Singha in 1746, it is one of the oldest surviving amphitheaters in Asia.
The structure is significant in the history of Assam, symbolizing the rich culture and architectural skills of the time.
It is located in Sivasagar, Assam and is a popular tourist attraction.
The roof of the Rang Ghar is shaped like an inverted royal Ahom longboat.
