Dr. Bhupen Hazarika Bridge, Longest bridge in India
The Dhola–Sadiya Bridge, also known as the Bhupen Hazarika Setu, is a beam bridge in India connecting the northeast states of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.
The bridge was inaugurated on 26 May 2017 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The bridge is named after Dr. Bhupen Hazarika, a scholar, poet, and film-maker from Assam.
The bridge significantly reduces travel time between Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.
At 9.15 kilometers in length, it is the longest river bridge in India.
