Grasslhöhle, Limestone cave in Dürntal Valley near Weiz, Austria.
Grasslhöhle is a limestone cave in Dürntal Valley near Weiz that extends deep into the mountain. Inside, numerous chambers display white stalagmites, stalactites, and mineral deposits throughout the passages.
The cave was discovered centuries ago but remained difficult to visit until 1952, when Hermann and Regina Hofer installed electric lighting to make it accessible to the public.
The cave forms an integral part of the Naaser cave trail system, connecting multiple geological formations across the Eastern Styrian landscape.
Tours run from April through October, with daily visits in summer and weekend-only access in spring and autumn. Wear sturdy shoes since the cave passages are uneven and can be slippery.
Inside the cave stands a massive stone formation called the Giant that rises about 10 meters high in one of the chambers. This striking structure is one of the most memorable sights visitors encounter during the tour.
