Allianz Stadion, Football stadium in Hütteldorf, Austria
Allianz Stadion is a football arena in Vienna that holds around 28,600 spectators and is equipped with modern facilities. The building contains suites, business areas, and various food and beverage outlets for visitors.
The stadium opened in July 2016 and replaced the earlier Gerhard Hanappi Stadium at the same location. Chelsea FC participated in the inaugural match against the home team.
The stadium houses the Rapideum museum, where you can see trophies and personal items from players who shaped the club's history. Objects on display tell the story of SK Rapid Wien's achievements over the decades.
The stadium is conveniently reached by the U4 metro line at Hütteldorf station, with the journey from downtown taking about 20 minutes. There is ample parking available nearby if you arrive by car.
The stadium operates with a special cashless payment system called RAPID-MARI€, which applies only to purchases during events within the venue. This system was specifically designed for stadium operations and is not found in other Vienna sports facilities.
