Pfarrkirche hl. Dreifaltigkeit, Hundsheim

The Parish Church of the Holy Trinity in Hundsheim blends Gothic and Baroque architectural styles in its design. The building displays a Gothic choir with pointed-arch windows and buttresses, while the nave features rounded arches typical of the Baroque period.

The church was founded in 1353 and suffered destruction during the Turkish Wars in 1683. Following reconstruction, it gained parish status in 1792.

The name refers to the Holy Trinity, which shapes the visual focus of the interior through period artworks. Visitors today encounter the layered religious heritage displayed in both the Gothic and Baroque elements throughout the space.

The church stands at the southern edge of the village and is easily reached on foot. Like most parish churches, it is open during services and often for individual visits outside those times.

The church tower was added in 1779 and features corner pilasters and a distinctive portal crowned with an ornamental keystone. This tower design creates a notable contrast with the older body of the building.
