The Salzburgarena features extensive timber construction with a 78-meter free span and primary supporting girders that form the structural framework.
The facility opened on December 7, 2003, changing from its initial steel construction plan to an innovative timber design following WIEHAG's persuasive proposal.
The multifunctional space serves the provincial community by hosting concerts, sports competitions, and television productions throughout the calendar year.
The arena contains adaptable spaces with a capacity of 6700 visitors and incorporates advanced acoustic technology for enhanced sound performance.
The engineering process utilized three-dimensional CAD modeling to ensure precise manufacturing of only two identical trusses and four identical secondary beams.
