Salzburgarena

The Salzburgarena is a modern event hall in Salzburg featuring a striking timber structure with a large open interior space free of central supports. The venue accommodates roughly 6700 visitors and incorporates advanced acoustic systems to ensure excellent sound quality for various events.

The hall opened its doors in 2003 and represented a shift from initial steel-based design concepts to an innovative timber construction approach. This change to wood became a defining feature that set the building apart from conventional event venues of that era.

The venue functions as a gathering place where locals and visitors come together to experience concerts, sports events, and live productions throughout the year. It has become an important center for entertainment and community activity in the city.

The building was designed using three-dimensional computer modeling, allowing the project team to plan the construction with exceptional precision. This technical care meant that only two identical roof trusses and four identical secondary beams were needed for the entire structure.
