Schloss Weyer

Schloss Weyer is a water castle in Kematen an der Krems with three stories, four towers, and a central courtyard surrounded by historic structures. The building blends Renaissance elements with later modifications that shape both the courtyard and facades.

The castle first appears in records from Kremsmünster Monastery in 1299, documenting its early existence for centuries. In the 19th century, Gothic transformations gave the building a fresh appearance.

The building has two round towers with pointed roofs and a square tower decorated with intricate plaster patterns on its surface. These different tower shapes show crafted details that visitors often overlook.
