Pfarrkirche Innsbruck-Arzl, Catholic parish church in Innsbruck, Austria
The church features a modern concrete structure with a continuous band of windows encircling the building to connect interior spaces with surrounding landscapes.
Originally built between 1959 and 1960, architect Josef Lackner designed this church to accommodate the growing population of Innsbruck's Arzl district.
The church interior contains circular Stations of the Cross by Hans Ladner, with symbols carved directly into concrete walls for individual interpretation.
The building includes a half-wall enclosure and cobblestone flooring, while natural light enters through strategically placed corner windows throughout the structure.
The central altar, made of white marble, stands in contrast to the minimalist concrete walls and coffered ceiling of this modernist religious building.
