Feller College, Baptist boarding school in Saint-Blaise-sur-Richelieu, Canada.
Feller College was an educational institution in Saint-Blaise-sur-Richelieu featuring a four-story main building, a chapel, farmland, and several residences for faculty members. The structures sat scattered across the rural Quebec landscape.
The institution was founded in 1836 by Swiss Protestant missionary Henriette Feller, starting as a single classroom before becoming a respected bilingual educational center. Between 1942 and 1946, the facilities were temporarily converted into a prisoner-of-war camp during wartime.
The school served as a gathering place where French-speaking Baptists could pursue religious education within their own language and faith tradition. It drew students from both francophone and anglophone communities, making it a space where different groups studied together.
The site is located in a rural area, so having a car makes visiting easier. Visitors should be aware that very little of the original complex remains standing today.
After its closure in 1967, the main building briefly housed visitors attending Expo 67. The structure burned down in December 1968, removing a landmark from the local landscape.
