The city hall features a central tower with a mechanical clock, multiple annexes, and a grand council chamber with wooden paneling throughout its interior.
Originally constructed as the Roreturm fortress around 1250, the structure became municipal property in 1515 and transformed into the city hall by 1520.
The first floor houses the primary council chamber, where local government meetings and official ceremonies take place throughout the year.
The building maintains regular operating hours during weekdays, allowing visitors to explore the public areas and administrative offices of the municipality.
The structure required complete reconstruction of its central facade in 1954 after engineers discovered severe structural instability during renovation work.
