Town Hall, Historic town hall in Lucerne, Switzerland.
The Renaissance town hall features a steep-roofed tower, decorated stone archways, and a prominent clock face on its main facade overlooking the Reuss River.
Built between 1602 and 1606, this municipal building served as a central meeting place for city council gatherings and administrative functions of Lucerne.
The building contains ceremonial chambers decorated with period furniture, painted wooden ceilings, and ornate wall panels representing Swiss governmental traditions.
Located at Rathausquai, the building remains an active governmental center, housing municipal offices and official meeting rooms for city administration.
The structure includes a covered arcade at street level where merchants conducted trade, connecting the building directly to the economic life of the city.
