Goldin Finance 117, Skyscraper in Xiqing District, Tianjin, China.
Goldin Finance 117 is a skyscraper in Xiqing District, Tianjin, China, standing 597 meters tall with 128 floors. Its top section tapers into a diamond-shaped crown that marks the skyline from many parts of the city.
Construction started in 2008, passed through multiple economic interruptions, and finally concluded with its opening in 2022. Early design proposals explored different shapes before the current form was finalized.
The building forms the centerpiece of the Goldin Metropolitan development, incorporating office spaces, luxury hotels, and entertainment facilities within its mixed-use design.
The tower houses 89 elevators serving the floors above ground and four basement levels. These elevators allow fast movement between different zones within the building.
Architects revised the design multiple times, including versions with a fin-like profile, before selecting the final stick-shaped silhouette. This choice reflects a long development process shaped by technical and aesthetic considerations.
