Hliníkárium, Film-meme museum in Humpolec, Czech Republic

Hliníkárium is a museum in the cinema and information centre building on Havlíčkovo náměstí in Humpolec. It has three parts: one on the film Marečku, podejte mi pero! with clips, set photographs and props; one on the unveiling of Hliník's memorial plaque; and one on the response, with letters and postcards sent to Hliník from Czechia and abroad.

The museum opened on 22 September 2006 in the cinema and information centre on Havlíčkovo náměstí. Its main initiator was the town's Municipal Cultural and Information Centre, backed by the town leadership, Rodinný pivovar Bernard and 1. Humpolecká stavební. Screenwriters Zdeněk Svěrák and Ladislav Smoljak attended the opening and contributed ideas. It grew out of the 2002 memorial plaque to Hliník, a fictional character from the 1976 film Marečku, podejte mi pero!.

The museum's name plays on the film line "Hliník se odstěhoval do Humpolce!" (Hliník moved to Humpolec!), spoken by Zdeněk Srstka's character. A third section collects letters and postcards sent to the fictional Hliník from Czechia and abroad, including some from America. The town of Hora Svaté Kateřiny has sent a special train, the Krušnohorský expres, to Humpolec each year since 2002.

The museum sits in the cinema and information centre building on Havlíčkovo náměstí in Humpolec, so it is reached on foot from the square. The building is wheelchair accessible. The three exhibition sections follow one another inside, and the tourist stamp No. 330 is available on site.

In the museum shop you can buy the annual tourist stamp No. 330, titled "Hliník se odstěhoval do Humpolce!" The town of Hora Svaté Kateřiny has sent a special train to Humpolec every year since 2002, the Krušnohorský expres, and in 2010 it unveiled a plaque there adopting Hliník as a local native.
