Apostelkirche, Lutheran church in Hamburg-Eimsbüttel, Germany.
The church exhibits neo-Romanesque architecture with a central cupped interior space, stone walls, and an elevated position in the neighborhood.
Architects Erwin von Melle and Peter Gottlob Jürgensen constructed the Apostelkirche between 1893 and 1894 on donated land using earth from Holstenwall.
The church received an organ installation in 1898 and altar images depicting apostles painted by H. Saffer were added above the altar in 1901.
Visitors can access the church through multiple public transport options, including the nearby U-Bahn stations Osterstraße and buses stopping at Apostelkirche station.
After a severe fire in 1977, the church underwent reconstruction in 1978, incorporating a new intermediate floor that created additional multipurpose spaces.
