Barkhausen-Bau, University building at TU Dresden, Germany
The Barkhausen-Bau consists of multiple sections with different construction dates, featuring a two-story wing with plain facade and blue slate saddle roof.
Construction of the initial building section began in 1951, designed by Karl Wilhelm Ochs as a prototype for campus development throughout the 1950s.
The building houses lecture halls, laboratories, and offices, serving as a center for electrical engineering education at the Technical University of Dresden.
The entrance area includes accessibility features, and the structure contains multiple wings designated by alphabetical letters from A through D.
The building received its name while Heinrich Barkhausen was still active at the university, making him the only scholar honored this way during his tenure.
