Christuskirche

The Christuskirche features a 45-meter concrete tower with a copper-covered tip and stands out with its textured brick walls and stained glass windows.

Construction of the church complex began in 1961 with the vicarage, followed by the main building from 1962 to 1964, designed by architect Egon Freyer.

The church functions as a religious center for Protestant Christians and military personnel, offering regular services and community gatherings throughout the year.

Solar panels installed on the south-facing roof in 1993 generate renewable energy for the building's operational needs.

The spiral organ, completed in 2000, follows architect Freyer's design by ascending along a concrete pillar in an innovative spatial arrangement.
