Wikingturm

The Wikingturm is a residential tower with an octagonal shape that rises 85 meters high, containing 248 apartments spread across 28 floors. The building features a distinctive profile that stands out in Schleswig's skyline.

Construction of this tower began in 1970 as an ambitious project for the time. After its completion in 1974, it became a defining landmark of the Friedrichsberg district.

The 26th floor has a bar where residents and visitors gather to take in views of the city and the Schlei waterway. It serves as a meeting point where locals enjoy time together while observing the landscape below.

The building has three elevators that provide access to different floors and make vertical movement convenient. The layout and accessibility features make it relatively easy to explore the accessible areas.

The tower was built on a site that once housed an industrial facility, leaving traces beneath its foundations. The location near the regional court required careful planning during construction.
