Wikingturm, Residential tower in Friedrichsberg district, Schleswig, Germany.
The Wikingturm rises 85 meters into the sky with its octagonal structure containing 248 apartments distributed across 28 floors.
The construction of this tower began in April 1970, requiring foundations driven 30 meters deep into the Schlei riverbed before completion in 1974.
The 26th floor features a bar where residents and visitors gather while observing the views of Schleswig and the Schlei waterway.
Three elevators serve the building, with one providing direct access to the 26th floor and requiring key operation for enhanced security measures.
The tower stands 500 meters from the Oberlandesgericht and contains ground contamination from a former roofing paper factory beneath its foundations.
