Emscherquellhof, Timber-framed heritage house in Holzwickede, Germany.
The Emscherquellhof consists of a main house, bakehouse, and stable addition, situated on a 21,000 square meter property near the Emscher river springs.
The Lünschermann and Schroer farming families constructed this agricultural complex in 1801, which Prussian surveyors later designated as a spring area in 1824.
The site now features exhibition spaces, a café operated by people with disabilities, and gardens dedicated to beekeeping, pomology, and natural fabric dyeing techniques.
Located at Quellenstraße 2 in Holzwickede, the restored farm complex presents exhibitions about the Emscher-Umbau project and regional environmental initiatives.
Five source pots in the Hinterwald forest, located several hundred meters southwest of the farm, mark the origin points of the Emscher river.
