Kirchentellinsfurter Baggersee

This 35-hectare lake stretches across 1.2 kilometers near Tübingen, offering natural swimming areas surrounded by grassy spaces for recreation.

The lake emerged from excavation activities during the late 1980s when materials were needed for constructing the adjacent B27 federal highway.

The lake serves as a meeting point for diverse communities, with designated areas for naturist swimming and social gatherings throughout summer months.

While the site requires paid parking, visitors can access the lake by bicycle from Tübingen and should bring their own refreshments as no catering facilities exist.

The water quality has maintained an excellent rating for five consecutive years according to European Environment Agency standards.
