Hausmannsturm

Hausmannsturm is a medieval round tower ruin positioned on a mountain spur overlooking Bad Frankenhausen. The structure features thick stone walls characteristic of defensive architecture from this period, with a diameter of approximately nine meters.

The structure was first documented in 998 under the name 'Frankenhaus' and served military purposes in a strategically important area. Its defensive role ended after the Thirty Years' War when such fortifications became obsolete.
