Steinbergpark, Garden monument in Reinickendorf, Germany
Steinbergpark is a forested park in Berlin-Reinickendorf with pine, oak, birch, and robinia trees connected by numerous walking paths. The highest point is the Steinberg hill, which rises about 65 meters and provides views across the surroundings.
The woodland was acquired by Reinickendorf municipality in 1924 and developed as a public park for local use. It gradually became an important recreation space as the surrounding area grew into a residential neighborhood.
The park serves as a retreat where visitors walk beneath mature trees and experience nature close to the city. Open meadows provide gathering spaces where families and friends spend time together enjoying the surroundings.
The park is accessible year-round with unpaved trails that can become muddy after rain. A sledding slope serves winter visitors, and waterfall areas require sturdy footwear for safety on wet rocks.
A constructed waterfall with nine cascades flows over 200 large stones to form a striking water feature at the base of the hill. This artificial structure was created to add a water element to the natural forest setting.
