Hornbahn

The Hornbahn is an aerial lift in Bad Hindelang that carries passengers from the town to the mountaintop in enclosed cabins. The ride offers views across five different valleys throughout the Allgäu Alps.

The lift was constructed to provide easy access to the mountaintop for visitors from Bad Hindelang. Over time, safety features and passenger capacity were improved to meet growing demand.

The mountain station hosts regular musical performances called 'Musik am Horn' every second Thursday evening, extending operation hours until late night.

The ride takes roughly five to ten minutes, and the mountaintop station is easy to explore on foot. It is wise to check ahead if you visit on days with poor weather or strong winds, as operations may be affected.

At the mountaintop station sits Georg's Naturwelt, an educational trail where visitors learn about Alpine plants and animals. Interactive exhibits and hands-on activities engage both children and adults alike.
