Petrikirche, Protestant church in Herford, Germany
The Petrikirche displays a central construction with a cross-shaped floor plan and a 46-meter tower containing three bronze bells.
The Reformed congregation in Herford received permission for public worship from Elector Frederick III of Brandenburg in 1692.
The church serves its community through multiple programs, including a soup kitchen initiative and special family services during harvest festivals.
Following renovations in 2008, the church interior now accommodates 450 people and features new function rooms for group activities.
The middle bell in the tower, cast in 1690, originally functioned as a council and watch bell for the city.
